12” NorthGate Accessory is a shingle of three-piece construction that combines durability with flexibility and good looks. Its size is 12” x 36” overall, yielding three 12" x 12" caps.
These algae-resistant shingles help protect against staining or discoloration caused by algae.
12” NorthGate Accessory shingles are composed of a fiber glass mat base. Ceramic coated mineral granules featuring high solar reflectance are tightly embedded in specially refined, water-resistant asphalt. This is a three-piece shingle that must be separated into individual pieces, each 12" x 12", by folding along the perforated lines.
Use on hips and ridges of roofs only after application of primary roofing shingles to both intersecting roof decks. These shingles are designed to be used with CertainTeed’s NorthGate branded shingles that reference the use of NorthGate Accessory shingles.
